“‘I’ve been a long time fan and friend of Justine Lassoff who has a history of successful exits in the LA market, specifically in the eco/beauty/wellness space. Her most recent on-trend undertaking, LOVE GOODLY, with business partner Katie Bogue Miller is making women sit up and take notice of what’s in the products they put on their bodies every single day.
I must admit, I still use Bath & Body Works (I’m a cucumber melon fiend), but after sitting down with this dynamic duo, I think it’s time to clean house and clean up my beauty game.'”

Katie Bogue Miller and Justine Lassoff adore all their Love Goodly products, but Hurraw lip balm and Kindri organic beauty oil are their favorites.
The planet is a prettier place, thanks to Katie Bogue Miller and Justine Lassoff, co-founders of L.A.-based Love Goodly, a subscription service that delivers a package of curated conscious beauty and wellness products to your door every other month. “We’re really passionate about helping people discover brands that are better for you and better for the environment,” says Bogue Miller, a Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising alum and founder of four previous startups. Every box ($28 each, $30 to non-subscribers) features five to seven products—also available individually on the website—that meet 12 criteria, including cruelty-free, nontoxic, non-GMO and fair trade. “We’re extremely selective and have a strict vetting policy,” adds Lassoff, a Stanford grad and 15-year marketing veteran. The company’s mission is to find sustainable replacements for mainstream products, which “uphold our values and are also amazing and superdeluxe,” says Bogue Miller. In addition, Love Goodly gives back by partnering with charities. This year, 5 percent of every purchase is being donated to Farm Sanctuary and Cure Cervical Cancer. The concept prompted angel investor and Machinima chairman Allen DeBevoise to fund the company, which launched last fall. Followers include Alicia Silverstone, Molly Sims and Camilla Belle. “We’re really about creating a strong community behind what we’re doing and sharing how important it is to use nontoxic products,” says Lassoff. In partnership with Durrah Jewellery, the company has designed a rose-gold anniversary necklace featuring the signature Love Goodly heart. Made of recycled base metals, it will be available in August/September boxes.
“My beauty routine includes eating healthy by following a plant-based diet, drinking water with lemon daily, playing with my son and dog, and trying to get as much exercise as possible. I go for hikes on the weekend and to the gym on Fridays.” Justine

Actress, author of The Kind Diet and The Kind Mama, blogger and curator of Love Goodly‘s April/May vegan beauty box benefiting Farm Sanctuary talks to Well + Good about her morning routine.
“For everyday, I don’t need makeup to feel fresh—thanks to the best beauty trick of all: eating plants! On top of my Kind Diet foundation, there are a couple products I enjoy using. I love a face serum, particularly the Deep Hydrating Serum by Josh Rosebrook and the Balancing Serum by Qet Botanicals. For my hair, Kooshoo’s organic hair ties are my go-to, and if I’m in need of mascara, I’ll go with Zao Volumizing Mascara. Both of these are part of my Love Goodly box benefiting Farm Sanctuary.”

When it comes to natural beauty, Alicia Silverstone is anything but clueless.
The 39-year-old actress and New York Times best-selling author, who won hearts everywhere as the quintessential ’90s blonde, has since become a passionate advocate of veganism, which she insists is the secret to her seemingly ageless glow. So just in time for the spring, Silverstone has teamed up with LOVE GOODLY, a subscription box service offering luxurious cruelty-free and vegan products. In fact, Silverstone is curating their April/May box, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the nonprofitFarm Sanctuary’s work to protect farm animals and promote compassionate vegan living.
